by Unseen August 13 2015

The Unseen Living Room is an informal meeting place for the exchange of dialogue and ideas. Bringing together leading professionals from across the industry, we will be hosting roundtable discussions, interviews and presentations that explore the recent developments in photography as they happen. Highlights include the roundtable discussion Photography and its Institutions: Reconsidering the Future, with the participation of Duncan Forbes (Co-director, Fotomuseum Winterthur) and Florian Ebner (Head of the Photographic Collection, Museum Folkwang), and a session on The Ins & Outs of Collecting, featuring private collectors Sondra Gilman and Celso Gonzalez-Faila, as well as corporate collector Annemarie Beckmann (Curator of the Art Collection, Deutsche Börse). Other participants in this year's exciting programme include John Roberts (theorist and Professor of Art and Aesthetics, University of Wolverhampton), James Reid (Photography Director, Wallpaper*), Olivier Richon (Head of Photography, Royal College of Art), and Emma Bowkett (Photo Editor, FT Weekend Magazine).

In addition to discussions and presentations, we will also be taking the opportunity to announce the winner of the Unseen Dummy Award. The esteemed jury in charge of choosing this year’s winner comprises of Paul van Mameren (Managing Director, Lecturis), Simon Baker (Senior Curator, International Art (Photography), Tate), Paul Kooiker (photographer) and Anna-Alix Koffi (Founder, OFF the Wall).
