Miho Kajioka (b. 1973, Japan, lives in Kyoto) studied fine art in the United States (San Francisco Art Institute, Department of Painting,1995) and Canada (Concordia University, Bachelor of Fine Arts, 1998). She started her career as a journalist in Japan. It was after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami that Kajioka was reconnected to photography. Kajioka’s work span her adulthood, including pictures she took while living abroad, as well as scenes she captured in Japan after the disaster. The little pictures are scenes from daily life, as it is. In 2013 Kajioka won the Fotoleggendo Award, Roma, Italy.
