Maisie Cousins

Maisie Cousins (GB, 1992) is a photographic artist whose work explores themes of power, sexuality, femininity, nature, technology, the body and indulgence. She studied Fine Art Photography at Brighton University, completing her BA in 2014. She has exhibited in several international group shows including the Vogue Photo Festival in Milan in 2016 and produced a digital commission for Late at Tate Britain in 2015. Her first solo show ‘grass, peonie, bum’ was held in May 2017 at TJ Boulting to coincide with Photo London, where the gallery had a two artist presentations with Maisie Cousins and Juno Calypso. Her solo show was reviewed by Refinery 29, Creative Review, Elephant Magazine, Dazed, iD and Photomonitor. Her work was recently published as part of the survey of female photographers ‘Girl on Girl’ edited by Charlotte Jansen (Lawrence King, 2017). She lives and works in London.
