Juul Kraijer

Juul Kraijer (1970, the Netherlands) studied painting at the Rotterdam Academy of Fine Arts. Her drawings, sculptures, photographs and videos have been shown widely, among others in the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York, the Museum of Contemporary Art (Kiasma, Helsinki), Museum of Old and New Art (Tasmania, Australia), Museum Kunst Palast (Düsseldorf, Germany), Kupferstichkabinett (Berlin, Germany), Museum Moderner Kunst (Vienna, Austria), The Third Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art and Huis Marseille Museum voor Fotografie (Amsterdam, The Netherlands). She has had many solo exhibitions, among others in the Stedelijk Museum (Amsterdam, The Netherlands, 2001) and the Gemeentemuseum (The Hague, 2006). Her work has been awarded the Philip Morris Art Prize in 2004 and the Thérèse van Duyl-Schwartze Portrait Prize in 2009.
