Aleix Plademunt (1980, Spain) is based in Barcelona.
In 2000, he studied Technical Engineering and in 2003, he received a degree in Photography from UPC Barcelona. During the subsequent years he has worked ceaselessly on a myriad of personal photographic projects. Some of the highlights of these are Espacios Comunes (2009), Cult (2008), Espectadores (2006), Nada (2007), Dubai Land (2008), Movimientos de Suelo (2010) and Almost There (2013).
Since 2003, he has exhibited his work in museums, festivals, galleries and art fairs in Barcelona, Madrid, Paris, London, Brussels, Amsterdam, Lisbon, Basel, New York, Miami, Chicago, Washington, México and Caracas.
In 2011, together with the photographers Roger Guaus and Juan Diego Valera, he founded an editorial project called Ca l'Isidret, to publish their own works.
Almost There, published by Mack, was exhibited at Le Bal (Paris) in 2013. The exhibition Regard sur la nouvelle scène photographique espagnole, included Aleix Plademunt, Oscar Monzon, Ricardo Cases and Antonio Xoubanova.
